CQ Nurse has been successfully providing Registered and Enrolled nurses to health services across many specialty areas for over the last 7 years. CQ Nurse is certified through the RCSA Service Delivery Standard, storming through the most recent review in February 2009. CQ Nurse has provided home care solutions in the Mackay and surrounding districts through an ad hoc arrangement, filling the need outside of other funded and difficult to obtain services.
CQ Community & In-home Care has rigorous recruitment processes in place for Care Support Workers, including:
Face to face interview of candidates;
Qualification requirement and proof of employment history;
2 – 3 professional, line management references;
Australia Federal Police Clearance;
Appropriate knowledge tests;
Mandatory training confirmation and updates;
Care Support Staff.
Our clients are vulnerable individuals, and we ensure that service provided to them protects and supports their continued health, through a thorough vetting of Care Support Staff.
We also strive to ensure that our Care Support Workers are also protected and supported. We do this by:
Conducting a thorough client assessment on receipt of referral, in order to appropriately match the Care Support Worker’s personal attributes and skill level to the clients’ care need;
Conducting a thorough client Environmental Safety Assessment, to ensure that the intended care environment meets good OHS principles and practice; and
Ongoing training and development of our staff, facilitated by our full time Education Co-ordinator / Clinical Nurse Consultant; and
Providing regular checks on care provided against care planning by our CQ Community & In-home Care Co-ordinator.
